Hailing from the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, Vivifyd is a colorful blend of hard rock, progressive, and psychedelic music that is both introspective and melodic. Consisting of Alex Chubb, Kyle Reinhart, Jonny Heinz, and Ryan Lee, the band has been recognized as one of the most technically skilled and innovative young acts in the local scene. With two hard-hitting EPs and countless live performances under their belt, Vivifyd continues to spread their unique brand of hard rock music across the globe.
Vivifyd was formed in 2015 by guitarist Kyle Reinhart at the age of 16. After just one short year, the band was able to release their first EP as well as open for the touring act Fates Warning. Vivifyd’s modern hard rock sound and unforgettable live performances earned them a second place award at the 53rd annual Hayward battle of the bands, as well as two back-to-back first place awards at the Brighter Day Foundation battle of the bands in Oakland, California. The band draws influence from a variety of popular and lesser-known artists, including Avenged Sevenfold, Plini, Gary Clark Jr, Van Halen, and Rush, amongst others.
The group recently released their second EP, titled “Beliefs & Insanity,” in February of 2019. The album explores the vast and debilitating conflicts of modern society while maintaining a positive and introspective atmosphere. Passionately insightful and intriguingly diverse, Vivifyd’s music packs the pain and wonder of the human experience into a delightfully melodic package that is sure to please fans of any genre.
